Transportation from Ezeiza Airport Buenos Aires

Getting to downtown from Ezeiza Buenos Aires Airport in Argentina

As soon as you claim your baggage and exit the customs area of the airport, you will notice that many people will approach you and offer car services to the city. We recommend you not to accept any of these services since they usually take advantage of tourists.

There are several options to get to your destination in Buenos Aires from Ezeiza airport. We recommend you take one of the white taxis or a reputable private car service (remis). If you are traveling by yourself and want to save some money you may want to consider the shuttle service.

Taxi Ezeiza (white taxi): It costs A$ 118 or about US$30 to get to your downtown destination in Buenos

Aires. No reservation is needed and you can just request one of these taxis by going to the white booth in the middle of the terminal. Tell them you want to go to “Capital Federal” and have an address of where you are staying. A driver will then help you with your bags and you’ll be in your hotel in about 40 minutes. Notice that these are not the regular taxis from Buenos Aires which are black and yellow.

Remis Service (car and driver): It costs A$ 150 or about US$ 38 to get to your downtown destination in Buenos Aires. The Manuel Tienda León Bus Company offers these services and there are reservation booths in the arrival hall. This service offers you the maximum flexibility, security and time saving. The cars are comfortable and modern with uniformed drivers, with air conditioning systems, audio and permanent radio connection to the base.

Minibus / Shuttle: It costs A$ 45 or about US$ 12 to get to the bus company’s main office in downtown

Manueal Tienda Leon Bus

Buenos Aires but you’ll then have to take a taxi, subway or car service to get to your final destination unless you are lucky to be at walking distance of your hotel. The Manuel Tienda León Bus Company is very reliable and has been providing transportation between the Buenos Aires airport and downtown for over 80 years. There are reservation booths in the arrival hall.

The buses are fully equipped with air conditioning systems, audio, permanent connection to base and reclinable seats. The regular departures are every 30 minutes between Ezeiza Buenos Aires airport, Jorge Newbery Buenos Aires airport and their main office in downtown Buenos Aires (1299 E. Madero Av.). The trip takes about 50 minutes.

Public Bus: It will definitely be cheap but not recommended. A number of bus services operated to Ezeiza, Buenos Aires and the surrounding areas. Bus 394 runs to Monte Grande railway station and Camino de Cintura. Bus 502 runs to Ezeiza City. Bus 51 runs to Constitución via Monte Grande. Bus 86 operates between the airport and central Buenos Aires, Plaza de Mayo.

Car Rental: We do not recommend renting a car to visit Buenos Aires unless you need to go to other non tourist destinations outside of Capital Federal. You will have to be very cautious due to the large number of vehicles, public buses stopping every 2 or 3 blocks, the narrow streets in downtown and the fact that drivers do not respect the lanes at all.

There are four car hire companies at the airport: Alamo, Avis, Hertz and Localiza, located in Terminal A Arrivals.

Getting to Ezeiza Buenos Aires Airport from downtown

We recommend you take one of the white taxis from Taxi Ezeiza or a reputable private car service like Manuel Tienda Leon or one that the hotel can hire for you. Taxi Ezeiza usually has a promotion for the return trip to Ezeiza for A$88 or US$23 if you hired them for your trip from Ezeiza to your destination. If you are traveling by yourself and want to save some money you may want to consider the shuttle service.

Do not take the black and yellow taxis to go to the airport. It will be expensive as they will also charge you to get back to Capital Federal since they cannot pick up passengers outside of their designated area.
